A young university student, Iane Shinn, becomes pregnant with her boyfriend Joe Peyh’s child. But Joe Peyh is arrested and sentenced to death for allegedly offending a powerful commander. Desperate to save him, Iane Shinn sets out to beg the commander for mercy—unaware that Joe Peyh himself is the warlord in disguise.
It’s a bet that led Joe Peyh to pretend to be a poor student and toy with Iane Shinn. To save him, Iane Shinn takes a job as a singer at Paramount Club, where she unexpectedly serves Joe Peyh and his friends. Upon discovering the truth, her heart breaks. She returns wearing a mask to hide her identity—one that Joe Peyh fails to recognize.
What follows is a tragic spiral: insulted, humiliated, and betrayed. Iane Shinn’s heart turns cold. Joe Peyh, confused by her sudden distance, fails to realize he has fallen in love with her. As the lies unravel and the truth comes to light, their love is already lost in a chasm of deception and regret.
