Faith Scott has been forced to feign muteness for years. A kidnapping incident leads her to believe that Drew Todd does not want the child she carries. In a desperate attempt to protect her unborn baby, Faith assumes the identity of the kidnapper and engages in a tense, back-and-forth confrontation with Drew over the phone. Through this unusual exchange, the misunderstandings between them slowly unravel. With Drew's encouragement, Faith finally rediscovers her voice and returns to her true self.
