Nearly forty, Helen is desperate to save her daughter, who is battling leukemia. In an effort to raise money for treatment, she considers selling her eggs and accidentally calls Daniel Jones, the director of a hospital. To prevent her from going down the wrong path, Daniel pretends to scare her off—but a twist of fate leads them to a one-night stand, and Helen ends up pregnant with his child. Struggling to support her unborn baby, she takes on odd jobs at a nightclub. Just as she and the baby are on the brink of death, Daniel learns the truth and rushes to save them, overwhelmed with guilt...
