Twenty years ago, a peasant woman named Flora Lewis saved Prince William during a famine, but in the process, she lost her own son, Zhizhou. Two decades later, Prince William ascended to the throne and is now seeking Flora to repay his debt of gratitude. Flora pleads with the Emperor to help her find her long-lost son. The Prince William initiates a nationwide search and discovers that Zhizhou is with the Bai family in the Jiangnan region, but has lost his wits. Upon learning that the Bai family is mistreating Zhizhou, Prince William steps in once again to aid them. During wars, Zhizhou, in his efforts to protect his mother, regains his intellect and becomes a martial master, defeating the rebel forces. The Prince William bestows official titles upon Flora's family, commending their kindness and integrity, and their fortunes shine brightly as a result.
